FEES  FOR  USE  OF  THE  BOWSTRIDGE  LANE  CEMETERY

FROM  1  June  2017

 

Interments

 

 

 

Body of person exceeding 12 years

£300-00

Body of stillborn child, or whose age at death did not exceed one month

Nil

Body of child whose age exceeded one month, but was less than 12 years

Nil

The fees under this heading apply to interments at a depth not exceeding 6 feet,

for each additional two feet

Interment of cremated remains     Containers must be biodegradable with no plastic/polythene bags within

The above fees shall apply whether or not an exclusive right of burial has been granted in respect of the grave

The above fees include the first inscription, each additional inscription

New grave plots are only available to persons registered as resident within the Parish of Chalfont St. Giles.

A ‘Resident’ is either:

            At the time of death the deceased was a resident of the Parish of Chalfont St Giles; or

            The person owning or purchasing the burial rights (Deed Owner) is a resident in the Parish of Chalfont St Giles; or

In the case of a still born child, either parent is resident in the Parish of Chalfont St Giles; or

The deceased was resident in the Parish of Chalfont St Giles for five or more years but became a non-resident involuntarily (for instance to receive residential care in another area) during the period immediately prior to the date of death or had lived in Chalfont St Giles for at least 20 years.

The above fees will be tripled where a person is interred into an existing plot,  is or was,  immediately before his or her death,  NOT an inhabitant of the Parish of Chalfont St. Giles.  (Except that the surviving spouse will be classed as resident for subsequent burial fees if the plot’s burial rights had been purchased by a resident,  and it is the surviving spouse to be buried. )

 

No fee includes charges for labour,  which shall be arranged by the person undertaking the interment.
