Changes to Non Recyclable Waste Collections    30 November, 2015

As from today,  Monday 30 November, residents should be aware that the collection times of non-recyclable waste may change.

It's because waste in black bins and purple sacks from Chiltern District Council households will now be taken to the High Heavens Waste Transfer Station, near High Wycombe,  before being sent to Buckinghamshire County Council's new energy from waste plant, at Greatmoor, in the north of the county. There, the district's waste will be converted into enough energy to power 36,000 homes.

Chiltern waste trucks will face longer journeys from the point of collection to the High Wycombe waste transfer station, causing delays in collections. So, if your bin isn't emptied at the usual time, please leave containers out as normal for when crews can get to you. Recycling collections will not be affected.
